Don W. Lee, father of Southern Flair's owner Dwayne Lee, passed away on March 12, 2011 in Arlington. He was 86 years old.

"Gramps", as we affectionately called him, is survived by his wife and Dwayne's mom, Elayne Lee; two daughters - Sharron Dillon and Connie Healer; daughter-in-law Barbara (Dwayne's wife): four Grandchildren - Shana Healer, Lee Healer (and his wife, Kristin), Heather Lee, and Robbie Lee (and his wife Amanda); four Great Grandchildren - Abigale Lee, Rachel Healer, Hayden Healer, and Byron Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1965, and then retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1985. A Lifetime member and Past President of the Arlington Men's Garden Club, Gramps also enjoyed hunting and fishing as hobbies.

Funeral arrangements were handled by our friends at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, and burial was at Moore Memorial Gardens, also in Arlington. Donations may be made in Gramps' honor to the Alzheimer's Association.

As 2010 comes to close, I am thankful for the continued support of all of our clients and friends. I am even more excited in the anticipation of better business and professional growth in 2011.

Digital photography has really changed our industry - in some ways to the good, in some ways to the bad. Fortunately, as people start to understand that the creation of quality wedding or portrait photographs is not based on the camera alone, we are seeing more and more people deciding to not to cut corners or expenses to record their treasured memories. Smart consumers are coming back to using professional photographers, like us at Southern Flair Photography, for these very special times.

As with wedding photography, you really only get one chance to get it right. Plus, there is so much more to photographing a wedding than just taking pretty pictures. That's where a true professional wedding photographer, like Southern Flair, will make a defining difference. We have been a staple in the Dallas/Ft. Worth wedding market for the past 35 years and have photographer over 3900 weddings.

As for portraiture, we highly recommend updating your family's portrait a minimum of every five years. So many things can change during that time to the family make-up, so don't put this project off.

Again, thank you all, and please be careful tonight. I want to see your smiles in 2011.
